Il Phonotamburato
Phonotamburato© is the ideal material for creating the right acoustic comfort characteristics that a healthy environment must have: good sound intelligibility (sign of optimal reverberation), the absence of unwanted extraneous noise (sign of effective acoustic insulation) and a proper disound distribution.
The Phonotamburato© doors combine absorption and acoustic insulation: up to NRC 0.85 in absorption and ~40 dB in reduction.
Micro-drilling
The Phonotamburato® is made with 4 mm thick panels (folders) made of MDF material and an internal thermal insulating fiber. By applying a surface micro-perforation, the panel acquires remarkable sound-absorbing properties. Thanks to a multitude of small perforations, the sound passes through the surface of the panel reaching a sound absorption level of up to 85%.
The type of perforation affects the level of absorption, the greater the number of holes, the greater the consequent degree of absorption.
The holes can be applied on both sides of the panel, guaranteeing the maximum degree of absorption, or on just one side, guaranteeing acoustic absorption on the perforated side and insulation on the non-perforated side.
