FLOEMA ACOUSTIC PANELS AT EXPO DUBAI

A Marche start-up, Floema Panels, will be a partner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the supply of acoustic solutions for the Italian pavilion at Expo Dubai. Floema Panels is the result of innovation in a traditional sector such as that of furniture, offering new perspectives to rediscover interior design including doors and sound-absorbing and insulating panels.

The Floema group has always had a production center in Sassocorvaro Auditore in Urbinate for almost 60 years, but also offices in Rome, Budapest and London. One of the Marche SMEs that is establishing itself internationally, remaining well linked to its territory of origin in the Marche entroretta that it wants to relaunch.

"Participation in this project - explains CEO Mirco Pierucci - has allowed us to be the spokesperson for a perfect combination of Italian excellence and manufacturing innovation that must also be sought in traditional sectors such as wood-furniture. Being among the partners of Expo Dubai 2020 has provided Floema with the opportunity to raise issues that are very sensitive to us such as that of noise pollution towards a new sustainability in the same way as the principles already outlined in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Italy is not yet very sensitive to this issue, but in spite of this progress is being made as evidenced by the choice of architects Ratti and Rota who wanted to insert Floema's acoustic solutions inside the pavilion. With our products we try to combine technology and design on the one hand, innovation and sustainability on the other. All our works - adds Pierucci - are the result of a long and skilful research and development work, necessary and indispensable for a path of innovation from which the Phonotamburato was born, a wooden furniture panel that guarantees acoustic well-being by absorbing the internal noises and at the same time isolating from the external ones, with fireproof and thermo-insulating properties>.

CEO Dr. Pierucci presented the company in Dubai before the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Giuseppe Di Maio and the Expo Commissioner General, Dr. Glisenti. Floema Panels manufactures doors, false ceilings, movable walls, coverings, comfort booths and furnishing accessories. The combination of Italian excellence and manufacturing innovation is the basis of Floema's contribution to the Italian Pavilion of Expo Dubai. Even traditional manufacturing sectors, such as wood-furniture, are sensitive to key aspects in terms of sustainability, such as the contrast of noise pollution: Floema's proposals combine technique and design with innovation and sustainability. <The continuous investment in research - the company explains - allows us to find new ways to be creative, aiming to reduce energy costs and increase sound efficiency.
